Question: Ask The Nuwaupians, did Ronald Wilson Reagan grant the Church of Satan a charter in California in 1966?

Answer: They'll jump and down insisting that Ronald Reagan did grant Anton LeVay a charter because York said and wrote it.

This question will no doubt cause Nuwaupians to go berserk because it's one of York's most memorable claims and started the Negro version of the "Satanic Panic" which helped to make York's book Leviathan 666 a Nuwaupian best seller.  York makes the following comments by implicating Ronald Reagan with Anton LaVey.

What's missing in the above quote is evidence of Ronald Wilson Reagan being directly involved with the charter that established the Church of Satan.  York goes out of his way to show news clippings, pictures and other illustrations to convey his point, but the charter alleging Ronald Reagan gave or was taking part in the granting of a charter is noticeably absent.

he goes on to write,

Here again we see an absurd catalogue of lies. Claiming that "Lucifer" is from the planet "Saturn" "Apep" equals "Pope", it's ridiculous and falls flat because York ducks the responsibility to bring forth the evidence to back his claims.

Did the Nuwaupians ever notice what York wrote about the color RED?

"did you ever wonder why Santa wears the color Red and the Devil's color is ALWAYS Red? Food for thought"

This is very interesting and very revealing, because according to York, Red is the color of the Devil, and this being the case, and York teaching that for many years, why would he wear RED so proudly?

Now back to the topic. The claim that Ronald W. Reagan gave Anton LaVey a charter has NOT been substantiated, York has stated this in numerous publications but has not presented the documents corroborating it.

2006 The Church of Satan held its first public Satanic Mass in 40 years.

There exist is no official record of a California charter issued or supported by Ronald Reagan in 1966. LaVey's noteworthy career began on April 30, 1966 Walpurgisnacht, a day of celebration drawn from the Pagan tradition on which the advent of spring is welcomed, often with dancing and bonfires . On that day he reportedly shaved his head, donned a hooded black robe, and pronounced himself the High Priest of the Church of Satan and the "Black Pope." LaVey then asserted 1966 to be Anno Satanas, the first year of the Age of Satan. The self-proclaimed High Priest continued to live in his parents' home, which also served as the headquarters of the Church of Satan. He painted the house black and purple, and it became popularly known simply as the "Black House."

It's LaVey's claim of April 30, 1966 as the official age of the Church of Satan and NOT some charter issued or sanctioned by the then Governor of California Ronald Reagan. York has lied to the Nuwaupians yet again and this claim has now been officially debunked.

York has been exposed again as a liar.  The myth that Ronald Reagan gave Anton LaVey an official charter for the Church of Satan in 1966 has been officially debunked.  As a notorious liar, York and LeVey do have something in common,

"I'm one helluva liar. Most of my adult life, I've been accused of being a charlatan, a phony, an impostor. I guess that makes me about as close to what the Devil's supposed to be, as anyone. It's true. I lie constantly, incessantly. Because I lie so often, I'd really be full of shit if I didn't keep my mouth shut and my bowels open."
