Question: Ask The Nuwaupians, What Does Dr. York And The Carpenters Have In Common?
Answer: They'll be totally baffled.
The answer is simple, the song "Let Me Be the One", a classic 70's song written and performed by the music duo the Carpenters, Malachi York just so happend to have released a single called "Let Me Be the One At Christmas". This raised eyebrows because at the same time the remake of the Carpenters song was available, York had a book out called,
"Santa or Satan? The Fallacy of Christmas"
York has never explained to his followers or readers why he would make such a hypocritical decision to promote the idea of Christmas. In his hypocrisy, York disparaged "Rock Music" artist as having "no soul", he says,
"...so white people created a kind of music without a beat and without a soul..."

The song was written in 1971 by Roger Nichols and Paul Williams. It appeared on the Carpenters album "Carpenters", York may have found the song as an inspiration as was the performance from a 70's television show.
He was clearly impressed and loved this song sung by Karen Carpenter, including the lyrics and the stage lighting as seen in her video. In addition, he felt the need to add the Christmas concept to the video, something NOT in the Carpenters video or song. First let's read the lyrics from the video,
Silent night...holy night...on Christmas night...if you should find yourself alone...
[chorus]
Let me be the one you run to
Let me be the one you come to
When you need someone to turn to
Let me be the one
To set things right
When this whole world's turned upside down
[Repeat]
For love and understanding, to find a quiet place
For silent understanding, a loving touch
Come to me when things go wrong
And there's no love to light the way
[Repeat ]
Let me be the one you run to
Let me be the one you come to
When you need someone to turn to
Need someone to turn to
Let me be the one you run to
Let me be the one you come to
When you need someone to turn to
Need someone to turn to
Let me be the one you run to
Let me be the one you come to
When you need someone to turn to
York changes only the first 2 words of the Carpenter's song, "some sleepless" and replaced it with "oh Christmas", the rest are the lyrics of the Grammy winning songwriters/performers the Carpenters. York even goes as far as to have the same or similar lights asKaren Carpenteris standing and singing near in her video, even wearing a creamy white suit in his imitation of Karen Carpenter's stage performance this video. "image of the beast" ?
The level of hypocrisy by York is outstanding, now take a look and see if you agree if York took some visual samples in addion to the lyrics.
We did some editing of both the Carpenters video and the Dr. York version of their song so you can see York's imitation and emulation of the creative works of the Carpenters. It looks like Dr. York was "living in the image of the beast" .
